ON THE UP FESTIVAL: Zombie Disco Squad + Final Terror + Isa GT (Girlcore) + Esau Mwamwaya (Radioclit) + Led Bib + TrioVD + Rattus Rattus + DJ Klose One + Dusty Lungs + Drama + Ordio Kid + Daddy Nature + GhosTTown
Kicking proceedings off on Friday will be Final Terror, a band that mix ferocious looped sax and pounding beats to provide the perfect soundtrack to disco hell. Featuring Acoustic Ladyland sax man Pete Wareham and metronomic drum maestro Leo Taylor, they're a killer band. Hot on their heels will be ISA GT, a Colombian baile funk-meets-techno-electro wheel commander who's played alongside the likes of Radioclit, Matthew !WOWOW! and Zombie Disco Squad and covered them all in glitter and plastic sunglasses at her art crew's legendary Shoreditch playpen, Girlcore. Following her we've got Esau Mwamwaya, a man produced by the much-loved Radioclit; Esau's without doubt one of the names to watch for the next year. He'll be previewing tracks from his album with this exclusive, no-holds-barred, one-off stage spectacular. Closing the night in Room 1 will be Zombie Disco Squad when they blast the speakers with favela funk, ghetto gruffness and Baltimore basslines. And if that's not enough for you, we've invited one of our favourite London club nights, Urban Nerds, to take over room 2 with the bumpin' sounds of Rattus Rattus, DJ Klose One, Dusty Lungs, Drama and Ordio Kid. What more do you want, eh?
