Peculiar, guy/gal, art-rock headlining duo signed to DFA and dividing opinion with their self-titled, debut album. The slightly mannered vocals and silly lyrics may jar with many, but the thrillingly primitive, minimal harshness of the pair's music (they make The Fall sound like Queen) makes them a thoroughly refreshing, genuinely engaging prospect. Plus rowdy electro-rock from A.Human and wild, glam-metal cum psych-folk oddjobs, HGR.
