An intimate night of live hip hop awaits visitors to this excellent floating dock on the Albert Embankment. House band Unexpected Guests are the lynchpin, playing both covers of hip hop classics and newer funk jams to please fans of The Roots, J Dilla and A Tribe Called Quest. There's also a rap battle with an awesome edge: all throwdowns take place exclusively as historical characters! The audience shouts them out and the rhymers have to obey, so if you ever wanted to see Napoleon cussing out Super Mario (and who doesn't), this is the fun, non-aggresive hip hop night for you. Tonight's MCs include Lyrix Organix, Natty Speaks, Leen, Andy Princz and Tat Yin. Donations gratefully received, otherwise free.
