FOLK AT THE FOUNDLING: Alasdair Roberts + Stephanie Hladowski & C Joynes

Dry eyes won’t be an option as Scottish folk visionary Roberts headlines the first of three concerts placing top folk musicians in the poignant environs of the Foundling Museum. Roberts specialises in agonisingly sad balladry about life’s unfortunates (though that’s not to ignore his dark sense of humour), so his repertoire should be a perfect fit for the museum’s current exhibition of everyday objects left by mothers with their babies at the hospital. Roberts will perform in the beautiful Picture Gallery, with support from English folk singers Hladowski and Joynes.
