A fantastic chance to see a true jazz icon perform live. South African trumpeter Hugh Masekela has been a leading figure in the evolution of jazz since the ’60s, as well as a composer and campaigner. Here he reunites with his long-time friend and pianist Larry Willis. The pair toured in 2013 and played exquisite arrangements of jazz greats from their past – if tonight is anything like that tour, then it’s a must-see.
