Kartel

Continuing the trend for events dedicated to one genre is Kartel, a new Brixton club night focused on African sounds, with an electronic twist. You'll be able to hear Angolan kuduro, Ghanian highlife, Kenyan Benga and – of course – Afrobeat. Black Acre's cross-cultural sample-weaving wizard Romare and excellent dub-trombonist Bass Clef step up for the first Kartel, alongside Afrobeat aces and residents The Bust Twist and Moto & Bagheera. A very welcome addition to London's club calender.
