Gypsy jazz may be all the rage at the moment, but The Hot Sardines do it better than most. With roots in both New York and Paris, the ensemble are known for their fast-paced, fiery performances. Tonight they visit London’s Barbican Hall under the charge of bandleader Evan ‘Bibs’ Palazzo and lead vocalist Miz Elizabeth, stopping off in the musical territory of Paris, New Orleans and New York. Support comes from the great jazz guitarist John Etheridge.
