Of the legendary Blue Notes, a South African jazz band who relocated to London in the 1970s, Moholo is the last remaining member. He's a master drummer in any number of contexts, and tonight, with an expanded eight-piece, he delves into the Blue Notes archives to play some of their rarely heard pieces packed with African polyrhythms, free improv and old-school swing. His top-notch band features the feisty talents of saxophonist Jason Yarde, trombonist Alan Tomlinson and piano star Alexander Hawkins.
