MELTDOWN: DJ Shadow + James Lavelle

Meltdown 2014 curator, James Lavelle, goes back a long way with influential US breaks/hip hop name DJ Shadow, most notably on Shadow's acclaimed beat-splicing, sample-heavy debut album 'Entroducing', released on Lavelle's Mo'Wax label in 1996. They also worked together on 'Psyence Fiction', the debut of Lavelle's UNKLE trip hop project. Thus, a DJ show from the two of them (the first since 1998) at south London club Fire should be something of a treat. Will one of them drop 'Organ Donor', DJ Shadow's much-loved, Giorgio Moroder-sampling track? Pehaps, but you'll just have to wait and see.
