Time Out says

Posted: Wed Aug 26 2009

Festival of performance, talks and visual art celebrating 'insects in art and the art of being an insect'.

There are events for adults and children, most of which are free, including visual art from the likes of Bob and Roberta Smith, the chance to walk through a structure called the Termite Pavilion in Southbank Centre Square, or step into the BeeCab, a London cab in yellow and black showing a film about the life of a bee.

You can also meet beekepers, find out how to plant an urban garden that will attract insects, and buy food created by useful pollinators at the Slow Food Market.

Paid-for evening performances include Robin Ince's night of insect comedy with guests including Garth Merenghi, Robyn Hitchcock and friends playing insect-themed songs and Chris Watson's 'The Bee Symphony'.
