This young Dubliner is so tuned into the blues that unless he’s got a guitar in his hands he probably sits fringe-over-face and surly like Kevin The Teenager. With a six-string at his disposal he bares his soul and taps into the barely there, slow-picking intensity of the gloomier Delta blues guys, albeit with a sweet voice that makes him more akin to Will Oldham. Promising stuff, this. And look out for a collaborative single with Sarabeth Tucek in March.
