Chris Clark’s latest should come with a warning: ‘Do not adjust your stereo’. Gone is his lullaby electronica, in its place a messy, distorted energy flash that will have Justice cowering in their Paris bedsit. This is an audacious attempt at making a twisted, brutal club record without clearing the floor – and it works. ‘Ache Of The North’ is Hardfloor by way of dubstep’s urban dystopia; ‘Volcan Vein’ is Pussycat Dolls’ ‘Don’t Cha’ on rewind and given the LFO rave treatment.
