Without Jamie T and Kate Nash’s patronage, this willowy voiced 17-year-old would’ve been gigging for years before recording this album. But while you suspect it’s all been written about the same boy, songs like ‘My Manic I’ and ‘Night Terror’ (a sort of student ‘Tam Lin’ for the modern realist) reveal a natural and assured folk songwriter. Surely she’s at least earned her five-metre badge?
