Too few records sound like they were really, outrageously fun to make. Happily, the third album from French multi-instrumentalist Camille Dalmais is not such a record. A joyful, breathless affair, ‘Music Hole’ is at times so exciting it’s easy to overlook the skill behind it: Camille layers vocals and beatboxed textures in a manner that suggests a cross between Bobby McFerrin and ‘Medulla’-era Bjork.
