Our fave Primals LPs are ‘Vanishing Point’ and ‘Xtrmntr’ and we reckon ‘Rocks’ is their worst song, so we’re probably not typical fans. Fans we are, though, and we give the thumbs up to a classic pop-rock album. It bristles and zings with brio, whether tapping Bowie’s ‘Heroes’ for the title track, doing a sexed-up, dubby shuffle in ‘Uptown’ or revisiting ‘Higher than the Sun’ with ‘Beautiful Summer’. Josh Homme, Lovefoxxx and Linda Thompson guest on a fat-free, streamlined winner.
