‘Uplifting’ claims the press release of Captain’s debut proper, but these things are terribly subjective. Trevor Horn, who knows a thing or two about pop, is at the controls and ‘Broke’ suggests an updated Prefab Sprout with a streak of (surprise!) Coldplay. This is no bad thing, but if it’s real uplift you’re after, a Wonderbra will do a far better job.
