He comes from Brooklyn! He’s, like, an orthodox Jew! With a shaven head and long locks and everything! He sings reggae! With a touch of hip hop! He draws links between Hasidics and Rastafarians! He’s huge in America! His music is absolute shit! Okay, the production on tracks four, five and 11 is good, and the instrumental oud track ‘Shalom/Salaam’ is nice, but Matthew ‘Matisyahu’ Miller’s Jamaican accent is more ridiculous than Jim Davidson’s and his lyrical platitudes more banal than Ali G’s.
