  • If King Creosote is the amiable godfather of twisted folk and José González the clean-cut older brother, then Tunng are the messy and artful younger sibling. Tinkering with technology and inspired by ‘The Wicker Man’ and Pentangle, they write fragile, groovesome and sun-kissed songs about girls turning into hares. This one’s better than last year’s debut, with a focus on the song: the movie samples, glitches and clattering percussion (teeth and toenails!) providing finishing touches rather than a distraction.
