  • This brother-sister electro duo presumably made some cash after fellow Swede Jose Gonzalez’s reworking of their ‘Heartbeats’ tune appeared in that bouncing balls TV ad. And hurrah for that if it enables The Knife to keep making LPs as good and uncompromising as this one. Like Sigur Rós and, in particular, Múm, theirs is beautifully composed music that evokes an ethereal, spooky and magical place. The difference is that The Knife’s pulsing tunes are built on squelchy acid house-tinged hooks and inventive techno twists. Compelling.
