  • Here’s a good reason to stop: your band have a go at recording a theme tune for an early ’80s cop show featuring the lyric ‘Big it up for vintage rock’, and that’s your best choice for a single. That, Charlatans, is nature’s way of saying it’s bedtime for Bonzo. With its low, walking piano and shouty chorus, ‘NYC…’ isn’t terrible per se, but it’s certainly a lot more fun to play than it is to listen to.
