God, third record out of the box and it’s still 1974, and I’m getting the distinct feeling that I’ve been transported, like John Simm, into a horrifying ‘Life On Mars’ version of 1974, one where Pete Townshend has written a really shit six-part mini-opera about, well, you know, mental illness and childhood and stuff. Hey! Pete! Rodge! What have you done with Keith and John? Who’s this Pino Palladino chap?

Townshend's writing genius hasn't diminished nor has his guitar playing. Daltrey sounds as good as ever, and along with Simon Townsend , Pino Palladino and Rabbit, (Zak Starkey not featured as touring with Oasis) The Who are almost as good as ever. The album will certainly be worth buying.
it's a lot better than it could have been. sounds fresher than alot of modern bands. im not really a big who fan but bits of a a pretty cool
a reviewer should approach things with an open mind not straight into slagging a band off , this reviewer had made his mind up before even starting to write it, what i meant was some who appreciates rock music ie bands like the who.
PAUL, What would be the point in having some 'The Who' fanboi review it?
so did the reviewer actually listen to the song or , does he even like the who?, whats the point in the reviewer reviewing a band he clearly does not like ?? opinions are there to be expressed but not presented with such a narrow mind mr lewis
