With his cover of The Knife’s ‘Heartbeats’, José González has done a good job in making people think that The Knife must be a fairly harmless proposition. Be careful spinning this, then. It’s bonkers. Boinging percussion battles it out with hoovers and stabbing, icy synths while vocalist Karin Dreijer Andersson sounds like she should be fronting a death metal band. Unsettling
