Steve Webster’s previous outfit, Fort Lauderdale, had a magpie-like obsession with prog, psychedelia and leftfield electronica. Now solo, he’s adding Krautrock to that list in homage to his beloved motorik grooves. But aside from some Harmonia-inspired workouts he’s far from obvious with it, evoking Eno’s psych-glam, Amon Düül’s fluid space rock and scuzzy garage in a fine collection of pop oddities.
