Jonathan Saul Kane, aka Depth Charge, set up DC Recordings ten years ago to release his own electro. A decade later and it’s home to a clan of artists specialising in pulsing, groove- and breaks-heavy techno. Everything here is almost new – recorded since 2004 – and includes six exclusive tracks, with gems including The Emperor Machine’s metronomic space disco, Padded Cell’s claustrophobic punk-funk electro and Kelpe’s deliciously glitchy comedown fare.
