In 2006, people will mainly be influenced by Dexy’s Midnight Runners. They’re this year’s Gang Of Four. Last year’s adjectives of choice were ‘angular’ and ‘jerky’, but this year, it’s the turn of ‘exotic’, ‘literate’ and possibly even ‘jaunty’. Either way, pretending to be a gypsy is cool again.
