This Brighton trio make club music for those of us who haven’t got the energy for a rave revival, or, indeed, the confidence to wear those accompanying luminous dungarees by London designer (or, possibly, fine comedian) Cassette Playa. Instead, this is slinky, hypnotic space-funk with the fingers of Kraftwerk, Neu! and Happy Mondays fans all over it, while the playful, flat-voiced ‘Collarbone’ does the same job as Hot Chip. A compilation of the band’s three ten-inch singles, the pre-requisite dance is a simple, blissed-out shuffle. None of that arms-in-the-air nonsense.
