  • Celebrating its sixth birthday, the popular music webzine-cum-label releases a sampler that shows off their much admired (if somewhat erratic) talent-spotting ability. There’s a scratchy, original version of Kaiser Chiefs’ ‘Born To Be A Dancer’, Martha Wainwright’s ‘Factory’ and ‘Poster Of A Girl’ by art-rock Canucks Metric. It also shows
where they’re heading, with Blood Red Shoes and Emmy The Great providing promise. The rest is rather indie schmindie – notably Redjetson and Jeniferever. Still, ambitious kids, this lot.
