  • Not surprisingly, for a man who cut his teeth in Napalm Death and Godflesh, Justin Broadrick’s musical vision has been frequently compelling but often bleak and abrasive. This, however, is as beautiful and accessible an album as he’s ever made. There’s no shortage of the customary sledgehammer riffs but ‘Conqueror’ also incorporates a shimmering, celestial ambience which will delight anyone who still dares to dream of a new My Bloody Valentine album.
