– were it not such a hideously tainted phrase – intelligent dance music. Taking in jazz, drum ’n’ bass, soulful hip hop, funk and lots of other not-necessarily- that-trendy-at-the-minute genres, his debut album is a laidback, breezy delight, and a record awash with melody, invention and lyrical flair.
