Berlin’s IDM electronica scene can often veer towards the soporific, but not on this collaboration between two of Berlin’s finest. Ellen Allien is the Acid House-obsessed head of her own bpitch control label, while Sascha Ring (aka Apparat) has worked with minimalist electro label Shitkatapult. Together they’ve crafted a dense and danceable emo techno that draws on Kraftwerk, rave and some gloriously ethereal vocals.
