  • French leftfield trumpeter Truffaz operates in a zone that readily accomodates both fans of Chet Baker’s melodic, cool jazz and ambient-funk clubheads alike. Here with his regular quartet for Fender Rhodes, Hammond organ and piano, bass and drums/percussion – and with our own Ed Harcourt stepping up to the mic alongside vocal mainstay Christophe and rapper Nya – Truffaz cooks up a lean, languid and easy rolling mix of jazz, funk and smoky blues. A fine alternative for trip hop-averse lovers of cool tuneage.
