  • In which the sample-soul revivalist  raids his own record collection – again – for more rare funk anthems that you can pretend you knew all along. As you’d expect from the country’s premier soul nerd, there’s plenty of good stuff on here, particularly Lil Buck & The Top Cats’ ‘Monkey In A Sack’ and the Road Runners’ barnstorming ‘No Names Will Be Called’ . Although, by the end of the summer, you could be sick of it, having heard this blasting out of every west London café and bar you walk past on any given Sunday.
