Chris Daughtry is a singer-songwriter who was once the fourth-place finalist of ‘American Idol’, but now would probably prefer to be referred to as ‘the creator of the fastest selling debut rock album of all time’, thank you very much. He’s even managed to rope in Slash (on ‘What I Want’) and, while it’s not likely to give any of our homegrown rock titans any sleepless nights, it is a more passable stab at serious rawk than you might expect from a reality TV type. Let’s just hope our lot don’t start getting any ideas.
