Six years is a long time between LPs, but this NY quartet aren’t about to let their resolve be eroded by a little thing like failure to conquer the world. Besides, their output – which ranges across arty post-punk, frantic psych pop and dissonant agit-rock – has seen them carve out a sizeable, cultish niche for themselves. Their latest effort features all of Enon, Metric’s Emily Haines, one Modest Mouse and a Fiery Furnace, which gives you some idea of where they’re at. The cool side of idiosyncratic, as ever.
