  • If ever proof was needed that singalongs are good for your soul, Akron/Family’s latest, when it’s not doing avant takes on classic rock (John Lennon and Led Zep with an ecstatic twist) or love-is-all-you-need balladry, is a bellow-friendly triumph. Improvised sea shanties punch the air next to ‘Ed Is A Portal’, the soundtrack to an alterno céilidh, which sounds like a duel between Sons And Daughters and an amped-up Tinariwen. Earthy, mystic and folky – yet properly twisted and primal.
