Following the release last March of their Bummer Road-related debut album on Thurston Moore’s label, Matt Valentine and Erika Elder return. The follow-up sees their glazed and trippy free folk-cum-frazzled alt. country augmented by a gnarlier rock sound, which owes much to Neil Young (MV’s voice is often a dead spit) and sees John Moloney and J Mascis both guesting on drums. Fans of Young, Dinosaur Jr and Devendra Banhart alike will feel at home here.
