Time Out says
This little-known play by the Gateshead-based writer Githa Sowerby (1876-1970) gets its professional UK premiere as part of a season of work marking the centenary of the Great Suffragette Pilgrimage to Hyde Park. Sowerby's play 'Rutherford and Son' was widely acclaimed when it opened in London in 1922 - but everyone assumed that the writer, known as “GK”, was a man. In this, her 1924 work, a young woman with two stepdaughters and a thriving business assesses the limits of her position. An intriguing revival: is the Orange Tree snapping at the Finborough's heels?
