Marking 20 years since Stephen Lawrence, a teenage Londoner, was killed in a racist attack, this big gig supports the social work of the Stephen Lawrence Trust. A range of enormous British pop names have already been booked, including the inevitable Emeli Sandé in the headline slot. 'Unity' is supported by City Hall and Greenwich and Lewisham councils, and the artists performing will be singing songs 'specially chosen for their social message' – but quite apart from the worthy cause, you probably won't find this much mainstream British music talent on one stage until we host the Olympics again.
