The welcome return of Equator Festival's annual series bringing female musicians from around the globe to London. Performances on September 20 include Euro-Indian fusion by Ignite/Shivanova, London string ensemble the Benyounes Quartet playing music by neglected female composers and the London Klezmer Quartet playing an energetic late show. On October 18, the programme includes a globe-trotting choral concert, guitar duets by eccentric Norwegian artist The Commander-in-Chief and classical guitarist Craig Ogden, and undeniable vocal talent Mônica Vasconcelos performing rearrangements of political Brazilian songs from the ’60s.
