Get ready for the high energy show of melodic piano riffs and dynamic chorus that has made a name for Manchester based Polytechnic. The fiery five piece have supported Morning Runner, Doves and The Strokes and can count them all as fans. Third single 'Man Overboard' (inspired by Brian Eno's 'Driving Me Backwards') featured this month as NME's 'Track Of The Week' and is a shining example of bright indie punk pop.
Joining Polytechnic are Reading boys, Pete & The Pirates, who have just released their second EP. The enigmatic five play charming careless music with blasts of folk, pop and punk, sucessfully capturing the spirit of oddball English indie.
