Get your ears ready for 25 year old singer/ producer Ben Westbeech and his distinctive quirky, rough around the edges soul music. His sound is not easy for us to categorise, but to put it simply you'll hear what happens when a kid who was classically trained in cello, voice and piano as a child grows up and gets into hip hop, dance music and sample-based beats.
When it comes to writing influences Ben takes in a whole spectrum of sounds from classical
to hip hop, making him equally as comfortable creating folky
me-and-my-guitar gems as he is producing intricate syncopated beats on
his computer. Whichever genre he slots into the result is simply beautifully listenable contemporary music.
