Newly signed to Mike Skinner’s personal label, The Beats, Example trades in dirty beats and downright filthy rhymes, all set to the most blatantly stolen samples this side of Winona Ryder’s wardrobe. Whether he’s excoriating drunk girlfriends to a mashed-up version of Britney’s ‘Toxic’ or brutally reworking Lily Allen’s ‘Smile’, Example is one of the UK’s smartest, wittiest and sharpest new MCs.
