Just in time for summer – kind of – comes Sweden’s backpack pop maverick Tommy Sparks. Sparks’s elegantly arranged diorama of sound features electro, R&B, yacht rock, skiffle and anything else he feels like at the time, all bound together with lazily enchanting melodies.

Recent single, the aptly named ‘She’s Got Me Dancing’, is a bona fide disco hit, and his self-titled album, due for release in August, proves that he’s got plenty more tricks up his presumably voluminous sleeves. Support on the night comes from Caesarians.
