Tue Oct 4 2011
The original version of Brahms's Piano Quintet Op. 34 was a sonata for piano four hands - Op 34b, but it is a lesser known version of the work. The pianists Konstantin Lifschitz and Ivo Varbanov perform it alongside Brahms's Variation on a Hungarian song, Op 21 No 2; and'Neue Liebeslieder', Op 65 (without the voices) for two pianos.
