Wagner 200 is a wide-ranging, London-based festival to celebrate the bicentenary of Richard Wagner’s birth.

It opens on May 22, 2013 with a Wagner 200th Birthday Concert by the Philharmonia Orchestra and a stellar cast, including Susan Bullock and under Andrew Davis at the Royal Festival Hall.

The festival continues with further concerts, screenings of opera performances, public masterclasses, symposia, a curated film season, an exhibition and much more, at leading venues including the Royal Opera House, Barbican Centre, Royal Albert Hall, Kings Place and British Library.

It concludes on Dec 20 with a concert from teh BBC Symphony Orchestra under Edward Gardner, with soprano Christine Brewer. Music includes the 'Wesendonck Lieder' adn Prelude to 'Tristan und Isolde'.
