Giuseppe Penone

Sculptor Giuseppe Penone – famously part of the Italian movement Arte Povera, a group Inspired by the politics of 1960s and who often used everyday materials in their work – has created a twelve metre bronze cast of a tree for the latest Bloomberg Commission. 'Spazio di Luce' ('Space of Light') will be on display within the gallery and will be supported with a year-long programme of talks and events that explore the relationship between nature and the city.
