Abi Ruchi cuts no corners when it comes to bringing subtle Keralan cuisine to the capital. All the details are handled properly: from the popadoms (accompanied by small bowls of artfully spiced dips) to the breads (spongy, slightly sweet nadan dosa) and vegetable sides (gorgeously garlicky spinach fried with onions). We enjoyed a starter of steamed squid stuffed with puréed vegetables flavoured with coconut and herbs – an unusual mix of taste and texture – and a chicken malabar main in a rich tomato sauce, warmly spiced with curry leaves and carrying the delicate fragrance of coconut. The restaurant’s lilac interior adds to the serenity of the place, as does the sweet and attentive service.

Have enjoyed visiting on and off for probably 8 years. Staff I have always found friendly. My favourite dish of the moment is the dosa special. The veg side dishes sometimes thrown in for free are always nice. Time Out you should really review your rating.
Great food, great service. My favourite restaurant. Alas I live far, but worth the time to get there.
I was there with my friends about a week ago. I am not a big fan of Indian cousine, but I have to admit this place is changed me. I loved everything they served. Delicious food, nice service, I definitely will go back there! I would recommend to anyone.
Food is really delicious. The service friendly and welcoming. Food is wonderful for quality and variety.A good selection of veggie options. Nice atmosphere. Excellent value for money. Highly Recommended
Great food! Fantastic service! Can't believe we've been served by the same 'rude, arrogant manager' - big smile, big portions and the most delicious food.
As a vegan the majority of the food is fried which is not a good thing. The staff were rude and did not wait for us to finish before they gave us the bill. Poor service all round and I will not be going there again.
My favourite restaurant in London. kadala curry and velapam was £4.95 for years, and as a takeaway I'd find pappadoms and chutney in there on the house (and a beer too on a few occassions). Moved further out now but still go back four or five times a year.
the manager gave us a bill in middle of our dinner.. even he took my plate away with out asking. and when i complained he try to pass me a bottle of beer instead of listening to me. it was a comedy. never see them again for million years!
