Alba has been serving up contemporary Italian cooking on Whitecross Street since 1989. The à la carte menu includes such delights as beetroot risotto with gorgonzola and bone marrow, squid ink ravioli, and pancetta-wrapped cod. In addition, there are fixed two- and three-course menus and a strong wine list, with the emphasis on wines from Piedmont. Alba is now open for lunch on Saturday.
