  • I booked a space in their lounge for my birthday party and it was the right choice! The staff is wonderful, the food is great and the atmosphere is unique! I will definitely come back!

  • This was my first visit to the BFI. I met my brother at the bar which had a very good selection of beverages; we opted for gin & tonics which were served with lots of ice and a good squeeze of fresh lime. A very lively and open plan space with a great atmosphere and the big arm chairs give it that comfy cosy feel too. We were then seated at a great people watching (celebrity spotting) table in the restaurant area for our celebratory meal. The staff were very friendly and attentive with lots of knowledge about the food and wine list. We ordered a bottle of Prosecco which was ice cold and delicious. To start we had a steak tartare and the potted shrimp both very tasty and well presented. For mains we had an asparagus risotto and a poussin with chorizo, again these were fresh, tasty, well presented and perfectly sized portions. We were tempted by the dessert list but couldn’t squeeze in much more so we opted to share a Neal’s Yard cheese board with two glasses of 12yr old Tawny port to wash it down with. Altogether it was a 5 star evening and we will be going back very soon, in fact I’m taking my wife next weekend!

  • My partner and I paid a visit to this cool place. We had a couple of great cocktails at the bar and the bar staff were quite entertaining. We then moved into the restaurant which we had booked and had a charcouterie to start with a steak and sea bass. All were delicious and we enjoyed the chatty staff also. The wine list was good if a little on the large side. We both had a lovely time and we weren't rushed at all. I would definately recommend a visit.

  • While the Benugo bar with its cozy sofas is quite enjoyable, my impression of the restaurant was unfortunately quite a contrary one. Staff is very friendly, but the food can only be referred to as carelessly arranged, oily and utterly distasteful. My partner and I ordered a soup of the day for 4,50 Pounds each, what we got was a lukewarm butternut squash soup for which in the end we were charged 5 quid each - some prior notice would certainly have been helpful. Even worse was the main course, proffered on the menu as Jerusalem artichoke with spinach and some other vegetables. We went for this vegetarian option, what we got was a heap of brownish and burnt vegetables with at most three leaves of spinach - all drowned in oil, therefore being completely tasteless. Despite the friendly staff and elaborate selection of wines, I cannot recommend the restaurant at all. Better just to have a drink at the bar next time...
