Blue Ginger is clearly popular with Kenton’s well-to-do Asian families. Porsches and Mercedes crowd the car park, and flat-screen TVs and black leather couches dot the interior. The menu brilliantly captures Delhi’s thriving Punjabi-Chinese food scene, so a meal could start with either pan-fried masala fish in a delicious ginger, chilli, coriander and peppercorn crust, or masala mogo (deep-fried cassava patties tossed in a distinct sweet and sour sauce). Cultural purists might prefer paneer bhurji (shredded paneer cooked with tomatoes, onions and coriander), or the fish masala, a helping of tilapia fillets in a tomato broth infused with ginger and garlic, and topped with roasted mustard seeds and fresh coriander.
